..Finley. This is one of my favourite photos so far, taken when he was five days old. (He is now just over three weeks old). As he lives in Australia this is the closest I've got to him although Skype is a wonderful invention!

Well what a difference the hour change made - the weather was quite good today and I did some spring cleaning and what's more I quiet enjoyed it and believe me that doesn't happen very often!! I still managed to make some cards though and thought I ought to do some Easter cards. Last year I downloaded the Pink Petticoat Little Chicks but never got around to using them so I thought this afternoon, it was about time I did. I also used some Papermania Citrus papers from my stash and Prima flowers and adhesive stones. Here is a selection of my efforts and even though I do say so myself, I am pleased with the result and love the bright spring colours. Hope you do too?

This is the card that I sent to ginge for the DoCrafts Friendship swap for March. I have heard today that she has received it so I can let everyone else see. I used Kate Knight designer paper from Dovecraft for the first time and absolutely love the combination of the black, white and pink. The extra challenge was to use 3D flowers - mine are Prima hydrangea flowers with pink adhesive stones in the middle of each. The stamped image is the Penny Black "Arrangement" stamp, which was the very first PB stamp that I bought, many moons ago.

Yesterday I became an auntie for the first time. My sister gave birth to a baby boy called Finley David. (The David is after our Dad). She had to have a Caeserean because he was breach. The only downside to all this though is that they are in Australia so I won't get a cuddle for a long time! Anyway, I made this card to welcome Finley into the world, using those brilliant Penny Black Teddy Bear Stamps. I couldn't forget my sister and her partner so I made them two cards, one for me to give them and the other my parents will give them.

This is the card I made for Sharpey, my February Friendship partner on the DoCrafts site, where I am known as Carrieanne. I used my new Penny Black rubber stamps and tried my hand with Copic pens for the first time.
